How To Effectively Use Source Natural Resveratrol
Source Naturals resveratrol is one brand of a supplement which is proving somewhat controversial. Many people claim that it can slow down the aging process, but that is something which is notoriously difficult to prove. Tests have been carried out on animals, but these are small animals with a totally different physical make up from a human being. In animals, resveratrol did indeed slow the aging process. Although there is no proof that it will do the same in humans, it is perfectly feasible.
What is more easy to prove and document is the effect resveratrol can have on degenerative diseases. The tests on animals gave an interesting result in that insulin levels were reduced, but cholesterol levels stayed the same. When limited short term tests were carried out on human subjects, the results were quite different. Cholesterol levels changed dramatically, and for the better. The high density lipoproteins which are beneficial to heart health were increased, while the low density lipoproteins which are a risk factor were decreased.
It is also noted that resveratrol has an antioxidant function which makes it useful in the fight against cancer. When taken in its natural form from red wine, it combines with other antioxidants to reinforce the body's defences. Free radicals are hunted and prevented from causing damage. When taken as a supplement, the other antioxidants are often not there. What is often overlooked is the possibility of taking a supplement such as Source Naturals resveratrol, and combining it with red wine and grapes. This makes sure that at least some of the other nutrients are taken into the body, which will aid absorption.
It is impossible to tell for sure whether an anti-aging product is working, or whether it just a placebo. Even in the science laboratories, there is no way to tell. You can give a person anti-aging material for a very long time, but you will never have a control against which to measure the result. It is really just a matter of whether you believe that you can trust the hype. Science has the jury firmly out, but there are signs that the anti-aging property may be genuine.
If you use a supplement such as Source Naturals resveratrol, you will need to use it as part of a sensible living and eating plan. It is no good seeing a supplement as a cure all, and thinking it removes the need for sensible eating and a healthy lifestyle. The most important need is not to fight the resveratrol with substances which promote degenerative diseases, or which hasten the aging process. Alcohol if drunk to excess will have this effect, but the real villain is tobacco which will damage skin and leave it dry, wrinkled and old looking. Don't fight your supplement, especially if it is Source Naturals resveratrol.
